Zaclori ointment contains tacrolimus. It is a immunosuppressant drug.
- Atopic dermatitis (Itchy inflammation of skin)
- Chronic inflammation of the skin
Ointment to be applied twice daily with regular monitoring for any change within six weeks.
Mechanism of action
The drug produces it action by inhibiting the T-lymphocytes activation. It binds to the cystolic receptor known as cystolic receptors which is also known as immunophilins causes the formation of complexes that inhibits the production of cytokinases. Inhibition of early activation of the T-cells causes results in immunosuppressive activity.
The drug to be applied to the surface of the effected skin and rubbed gently for proper penetration on the surface of the skin.
- Cautiously used on the surface of face and neck
- Broken areas of the skin
- Should not be used if skin producing adverse reaction after application
